This is Turn 8 at Oak Hill Race way, the 5 hour mini endurance race on Saturday 2/21/09

These leathers were a casualty of 5 crashes, all in the rain. i'll have to take a few pics of the damage. they held up great, saved my skin and allowed me to continue on racing. We ended up finishing 3rd in class and 14th overall.

I painted my track bodywork last night.
Well, actually, my friend who knows how to paint stuff came over & painted my bodywork last night.

It's duplicolor spray bomb black w/ Kirker Acryl-glo white (Cost a whopping $36/gallon + hardner & reducer).
The white looks WAY better.  I need to try to wet sand the black to shine it up a bit, but Im not sure how much time I'll have to do it before my track day Saturday.  I may just have to put that on the to-do list.

I'll post pics of the bike once it's installed.

I wish I had "before" pictures of the tank.  It was horrid. The bike had been looped, and it was smashed in a good 2".   Plus a big dent in the side.  Yea for Bondo!

after you wetsand that black, it is going to look pretty dull/flat. what you need to do after that is go to any walmart, meijer, autozone, or napa get rubbing compound and a finishing polish.

Start with the rubbing compound, use it just like you would was but make sure you use good pressure, then use a clean cloth to buff it out. Do the same thing with the Finishing polish then it will be like glass!!!
