I had a bit of a get off this past weekend before my races.  I was on the warm up lap for my first race of the day and got hit mid corner and knocked off the bike.  This was in Turn 5 at Infineon Raceway and I was going somewhere between 70 and 80 mph.  I slid on pavement for about 40 feet and another 40 or so in the dirt, all on my right side.  The only damage to my body was a bruised/swollen elbow and a quarter-sized abrasion on my elbow from rubbing with the suit, not asphalt.

Damage to the suit is not trivial.  The right shoulder is worn through the top layer of leather

Some surface wear on the right forearm

A hole in the Keprotec at the right hip

And significant wear on the right thigh

Hopefully I can find a good leather shop to repair this quickly.

I had Barnacle Bill repair and slightly alter mine (I lost weight)

He does great work at a more than reasonable cost. I drove down and dropped my suit off so that he could get accurate measurements for the alterations, suit was back in my hands 4 days later via UPS.

Yeah, I send everything to Barnacle Bill.  He's a good guy.

I've heard good things about http://www.gotroadrash.com/index.htm as well. Debbie is in Costa Mesa (OC) California.
